We aim to complete and dispatch orders within six weeks of confirmation however this depends on the bespoke nature of the order. All customers will be given a clearer indication of timings once an order has been placed. Most customers will choose to have their purchases delivered however collection from our offices in Lancashire is also possible. The standard delivery charge is £60 across mainland Britain however additional charges may apply for items or locations which have special requirements. Please call Against the Grain to discuss overseas delivery options. In order that the delivery process is completed successfully it is the responsibility of the customer to check measurements to all access areas (stairs, doorways, etc), inform us of any access or parking restrictions and any circumstances which may prevent a successful delivery. It is important to note that as all our furniture is handmade measurements are approximate and could vary a little from the sizes listed. We are unable to refund orders which cannot be delivered due to access restrictions, or items which do not fit into the intended room. On delivery of goods, you'll be asked to check the condition of the items and sign a delivery note. Your signature constitutes acceptance of the items but does not affect your statutory right to return them. Any damage or defect must be noted on the delivery paperwork when the goods are accepted. We cannot be held responsible for information which has not been noted on this paperwork. Where a delivery date has been agreed but the customer is not present or unwilling to receive the delivery we reserve the right to charge the customer again for the total value of the delivery of the goods unless otherwise specified. In circumstances when a delivery has not been completed successfully Against the Grain will get in touch to make arrangements, please do not return damaged products unless asked to do so.
Against the Grain adopts a strict process of quality control and if any item is found to be faulty or damaged on delivery we will replace it at no cost. It will be assumed that a customer has accepted the chosen colours, fabrics, etc, through advance communications and receipt of samples ahead of ordering from Against the Grain. Due to the bespoke services at Against the Grain once an order has been confirmed and is in production it cannot be cancelled. This does not affect your statutory rights. It is important to note that the colour of raw mahogany can vary according to a number of factors (age, storage, source, etc). This can influence the shade of the polish achieved in the finishing process. A sample may differ slightly from the final product.
